Rolandjan van Mulligen

From a young age, I walked around with the question: "who am I?" Is who I am a mixture of thoughts, beliefs, feelings, what I do and have learned, or is there more? Who am I in essence? This question has always kept me busy and led me to the path of yoga and meditation and later Advaita.

I have been able to discover and practice many different yoga styles, forms of meditation and therapies for the past fifteen years. Every time a bit of the veil was lifted by the special teachers on my path. It became clear that all those aspects of my life that I associated with, that I thought I was, were constantly changing and therefore gave my I-image a very unstable and uncertain character.

According to spiritual teachers, it is possible to wake-up from the dream state of identification with that shaky self-image, or ego. To see through the ideas and illusions about who we think we are and to realize who or what we actually are. Sometimes this is indicated by terms such as Consciousness, silent presence, the Absolute, spirit or the great Mystery.

These words refer to that which is wordless and timeless. My fascination and curiosity brought me to the Advaita or non-dual transfer of, among others, Ferry Maidman, Sri Mooji, Ramana Maharshi, Nissargadatta Maharaj and Adyashanti.

When the search comes to rest, what remains is a timeless, peaceful Silence that overflows with joy, satisfaction and gratitude for existence itself.

I am happy to share what I have learned and what is experienced in yoga classes, meditations and workshops.
